Now, Here’s Ben Shapiro on Michael Denton’s Evolution: Still a Theory in Crisis

Michael Denton

I’ve been following the evolution of Ben Shapiro’s thinking about evolution, and intelligent design. I knew something was up when he talked about Stephen Meyer’s Signature in the Cell on his show, when he subsequently talked about Michael Denton’s Evolution: Still a Theory in Crisis, and of course when he had Meyer on his Sunday Special to talk about Darwin’s Doubt and next frontier for Meyer, the book he’s working on now, The Return of the God Hypothesis.

I hadn’t previously presented Shapiro’s comments on Denton, but here they are. Take a moment to listen:

It’s interesting to consider why some super-smart folks I can think of remain intellectually closed to considering any of this, despite what you’d assume are their good reasons for doing so; while others, as smart or smarter, like Shapiro, are keen to explore. What’s the difference in temperament between the timid and the daring? Oh, well I guess I’ve just given away my own view on that.

If you missed the fantastic Meyer-Shapiro interaction, check it out there.
